Anything other info on the GUI is a waste of time for me, the average user. I am only interested in the version numbers, the name of the addon, and a short description of what it does.

Personally, I don't need to see the authors name. I cannot find it at the moment, but I got the link for WoWMatrix in the same thread along with the few other non Ace supported addon downloader over on the Ace forums.Īnyone can get the addon authors contact info from right inside of the addon folder, or by checking the About feature in game for whatever addon they are checking on. But it has a ton of them and new addons are added all the time. Wowmatrix does not have every addons from Curse or Wow Interface or other sites you use to get addons. It makes keeping my addons up to date easy and saves me time. Now, I'm not sure if it's worth putting on the main post or promoting it, but I like it. If there is an update it will alert you which addons need to be updated and with one click all of them will be updated.

When you start wowmartix it scans all the addons that you have installed (even if you did not use wowmatrix to install them) and searches the wowmatrix database to check for updates. I personally do not use this to install addons. It allows the user to easily install addons by searching them in the wowmatrix database and clicking one button.
